Notice of Change of Jury – The 11th Kobe International Flute Competition
Mr. Felix Renggli, a member of the jury of the 11th Kobe International Flute Competition, has decided to withdraw from the jury for personal reasons. Mr. Michael Faust will take his place.
In addition, Mr. Michael Faust will perform at “the 11th Kobe International Flute Competition Special Night Gala Concert” on Friday, September 5, replacing Mr. Felix Renggli.

Michael Faust
Michael Faust studied with Karlheinz Zöller in Hamburg and Berlin and with Aurèle Nicolet in Basel. He served as Solo Flutist with the Hamburg Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, and the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Faust has won prizes in prestigious music competitions in Rome, Prague and Bonn. As a 1986 Pro Musicis award winner in New York, he has accorded début concerts in such music centers as Boston, Washing¬ton, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Osaka. Currently a Professor of Flute at the Dusseldorf Robert-Schumann-Hochschule. Mr. Faust performs and gives master classes regularly throughout the United States, South America, Japan, China and Europe.
In 2012 he launched the “Gargonza Arts Award” project, which gives several artists from different disciplines the opportunity to participate in residency grants in Tuscany to find new inspiration.
