10th KIFC: Schedule for the video streaming of the 1st round is announced
The first round of the 10th Kobe International Flute Competition, in which young talented flutists selected from 483 applicants compete with each other, is about to begin.
Under normal circumstances, 53 flutists* from 22 countries and regions were to showcase their performance in front of a large audience at the Kobe Bunka Hall. Instead, the first round will be conducted based on pre-recorded video submitted by them.
Yet, the contestants keep stepping forwards enthusiastically to achieve higher aims, even in the time of uncertainty brought about by a pandemic. And, we believe that their performance will touch the hearts of audiences around the world and bring spirits of cheers and hope through the screen.
Contestants’ performance videos will be streamed online for free at this website starting from August 26. During the first round period, not only viewers can watch their performance, but also send messages of support to contestants.
