Release of original ink: “Kobe International Flute Competition” × “Kobe INK Story”
We are pleased to announce the release of an original fountain pen ink created in collaboration between the “Kobe International Flute Competition” and “Kobe INK Story”—a local ink line developed by Nagasawa Stationery Center Co., Ltd., a long-established stationary store in Kobe, inspired by the colorful scenery of Kobe.
This collaboration originated when “Kobe INK Story” was presented as a commemorative gift to Contestants of the 11th KIFC in 2025. We created this original ink to share the story that the Kobe International Flute Competition has built over the years in the city of Kobe, with the hope of further expanding the circle of connection and interaction through the competition.
We hope you will enjoy using this special ink.
Product Name
NAGASAWA Kobe INK Story Special Color: “toi toi toi! – omajinai blue”
Concept
Based on the deep blue image color of the Kobe International Flute Competition, this color embodies a serene yet transparent quality. The ink name features “toi toi toi!”, a well-known phrase used across the performing arts—such as classical music, ballet, and theater—before a performance to encourage one another, meaning “Good luck! You’ll do great!” Derived from a traditional German good-luck spell or charm (“omajinai” in Japanese), this phrase carries our heartfelt wishes to cheer on flutists as they take flight onto the world stage.
