11th KIFC Outreach Program: Music Fills the Public Space
During the competition, a satellite venue for “KOBE International Music Festival 2025” was established at Duo Dome, located right by JR Kobe Station. In addition to posters and live broadcasts of the Competition, the stage featured a diverse lineup of local musicians, students, and young artists.
In the late afternoon of September 5th, contestants took to the stage to perform classical flute duos and quartets. As commuters passed through the underground mall, the beautiful melodies of the flute filled the air. Many people paused their journey home to listen, drawn in by the sounds. It was a wonderful moment where the venue was embraced by music.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who stopped by and shared this experience with us.
Performer’s Voice
I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to share my music in Japan—both as a soloist in the Kobe International Flute Competition and as a chamber musician with wonderful colleagues during the outreach programme in Kobe. These experiences have reaffirmed my belief that the true essence of music lies not in competition, but in its power to bring people together.
