Commemorative Recital for the 1st Prize of the 11th KIFC: Fabian Johannes Egger

Fabian Johannes Egger, a promising young flutist who won First Prize at the 11th Competition in 2025 at the age of 18, will make his Japan debut with recital performances in Kobe and Tokyo.

Fabian Johannes Egger, Flute

Fabian Johannes Egger was born in Southern Germany in 2007 and admitted to the gifted program at the Leopold Mozart Institute of the University of Mozarteum Salzburg at the age of ten. From 2020, he received tuition from Andrea Lieberknecht at the Munich University of Music and Theater starting his Bachelor’s degree in 2023. Within one year he won first prize, audience prize and the prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary work (his own composition) at the International Aeolus Competition, third place in Eurovision Young Musicians, VP Bank opus award (valueing his artistic personality) and first prize at Kobe International Flute Competition. Being the scholarship holder of several important foundations he has performed as a soloist with many orchestras in Germany and throughout Europe.

 

Kaeko Suzuki, Piano

A graduate of Kyoto City University of Arts, Kaeko Suzuki completed an Artist Diploma at Indiana University. Following studies in Europe, she launched her solo career in Japan with a debut recital sponsored by the Japan Federation of Musicians. An esteemed chamber musician, Kaeko has earned the profound trust of world-renowned artists such as Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Trevor Wye, and Emily Beynon. Her international career includes performances in the U.S., China, and Taiwan. She has served as an official pianist for prestigious competitions, including the ASTA National Solo Competition, the Kobe International Flute Competition, and the Japan Woodwind Competition. Currently, she is a lecturer at Kyoto City Kyoto Horikawa Music High School.
