The KIFC: connecting with people and moving towards the future through music.
The Kobe International Flute Competition is one of the most highly valued competitions internationally, acting as a stepping stone to success for young flutists.
However, the KIFC is not just for young musicians to show their skills and musicality. Around the competition, the KIFC offers various activities such as music promotion to youth and cultural exchanges between participants and local people. A unique community formed through those activities bridges Kobe to the rest of world, creating new stories.
In light of this, support from you is indispensable to carrying out these activities sustainably. Your contributions will be used to operate the various activities and benefits offered by the KIFC, including support for the participants’ stay in Kobe and community outreach activities. Ways to Support
Hometown Tax Donation (Furusato nozei)
Kobe City Government, the main organizer of the KIFC, solicits a contribution for the KIFC through the Hometown Tax Donation system “Furusato KOBE Funds”. Please select “22. Make Kobe as a city filled with arts and culture” as your designated donation, and write a note “for Kobe International Flute Competition” in a questionnaire section.
By Mail or Fax
Submit a Donation Form to the Kobe City Government. The form is available on its website.
※Please note that benefits of the Hometown Tax Donation is different from that of the Direct Donation.
Direct Donation
A designated donation can be made directly to the Kobe Cultural Foundation, the KIFC’s secretariat office. It will be used for operation and execution of the KIFC and its related activities.

Online donations can be made by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners) or bank transfer.

※In case of the bank transfer, please arrange a bank transfer within 7 days from the date of application. Please bear the bank transfer fees.
